EMR Implementation at Rumah Sehat Madani (RSM)

Background: Rumah Sehat Madani (RSM), located at Jl. Padang Lalang No.2, Denpasar Barat, provides high-quality and affordable healthcare services. RSM was founded by Layanan Kesehatan Madani (LKM) in May 2009 to deliver social services and was built on the land donated by Dompet Sosial Madani (DSM).

Issues: RSM encountered several operational challenges, such as:

  • Inter-divisions management issues.
  • Absence of Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
  • Decentralized patient and operational data.
  • Unmet requirement of system integration to SatuSehat, in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Health of Indonesia (PMK) No. 24.

Solution: To address these issues, RSM made the decision to implement the Ksatria Medical System (KMS), a health information system designed to:

  • Provide modules that are integrated from end to end.

  • Conducted staff training on how to use the system.
  • Migrated existing data to KMS.
  • Integrated KMS with SatuSehat platform.
  • Performed testing and simulation to ensure the reliability and efficiency of the system.
  • Went live in all of RSM’s units.

Results: The implementation of KMS at RSM has brought significant improvements in the clinic’s operations, such as:

  • Improved efficiency of medical records management, with reduced administrative workload.
  • Improved coordination between departments with centralized data.
  • Compliance with the regulation on SatuSehat integration and improvements of the healthcare service standards.
